California, Nevada and Arizona

Both boys had the same two week half term in October, so we did our big trip of the year. We started and finished with our old friends the Johnsons in Los Angeles,and took in Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon and 'cowboy country' in Northern Arizona, a few days with Alisa's cousins in Phoenix, San Diego, and finally Santa Barbara where (very fortunately) our friends Simon and Jackie were staying for the autumn.
